BETH LABAUGH, BS, LMT

Since 1990, my practice has been devoted exclusively to treating chronic pain, muscle tension, and injuries with a variety of effective massage and bodywork techniques.
My interest in massage evolved gradually due to a childhood injury which led to severe nerve and muscle pain over the next decade. I consulted various health practitioners, but got my best pain relief from deep massage. After receiving my BS in Agronomy, I attended the Downeast School of Massage in 1988, have since attended more than 1200 classroom hours in specialized techniques including Nemerov Technique, Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Massage, Structural Bodywork, Mulligan Mobilization, Kineseotaping, Muscle Energy Technique, CranioStructural Integration, and Injury Evaluation and Treatment, and others.
My goals include providing long term pain relief by evaluating and eliminating muscle spasm caused by compensating for old and recent injuries, correcting underlying postural and alignment problems, establishing more functional joint and body movement patterns, and giving clients tools to continue their improvement at home. Client education is a major focus. If you can understand what is not working efficiently in your body, and are given a few precise techniques to change that, you can help yourself gradually improve, and even get out of acute pain episodes all by yourself. This helps you feel better physically, but is also helpful in reducing anxiety by reducing dependence on outside help.
I love seeing people who have "tried everything", get back to work, sports, and pain free movement, and ultimately acquire the knowledge and confidence to take care of themselves.

GAYLE CHUNG, BA, LMT

I specialize in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and general Swedish massage. I use a mixture of Eastern and Western massage techniques to provide pain relief, functional improvement, and general relaxation and wellbeing. I am happy to provide a session that focuses entirely on your pain issues, entirely on stress relief and wellbeing, or a combination of the two.
I received my Associates Degrees in Art and Science from Walla Walla Community College at age 14, and earned a BA in Biology and Studio Art at Whitman College in 2008. In 2009, I began to explore my interest in health and wellness while working as a medical assistant for Dr. Alan Ross, Physiatrist, for 5 years. I realized my passion for manual therapies while assisting Dr. Ross with Osteopathic Manipulation Therapy, trigger point injections, and postural evaluations, and administering Scrambler Therapy (a noninvasive treatment for nerve pain). This experience equipped me with a solid foundation in the medical field which informs my massage therapy practice.
I graduated from Downtown Yoga and Massage School in 2018, then performed massage therapy in a busy chiropractic office for 1 ½ years. Wanting to continue developing expertise with pain relief and injury treatment, I joined Kennebec Therapeutics in 2020. I am excited to be in an environment that allows me to explore the full range of available massage and manual therapy techniques under the mentorship of a skilled and experienced professional. I am an artist at heart and have always used my hands to help others. It is my hope that I can aid my clients to find the root of their pain and assist in their healing.

Maggie Stickle, BS, MA, LMT
I am a 2000 graduate of the Downeast School of Massage's, Swedish, Shiatsu, and Sports massage programs. I have since become certified in KineseoTaping, Lymphatic massage, and Myoskeletal Alignment Technique, as well as completing several hundred hours of education in other complementary continuing education.
Before studying massage therapy, I earned a BS in Education and an M.A. in Counseling from The Ohio State University. My experience in these fields inform my work as a massage therapist, giving me a deep appreciation for the body/mind connection. I believe that what we experience, both emotionally and physically, is translated through the body. Negative emotions, physical injuries, repetitive use, and postural strain all take a similar toll on the body, resulting in postural distortions that give rise to chronic pain.
My decision in 2002 to become part of Kennebec Therapeutics cemented my inclination to be truly results oriented. I enjoyed my 18 years working full time, but am now winding down after a long and gratifying practice and only practicing Manual Lymphatic Drainage technique on a limited basis.
